AREA COLLEGES : Torino coach of year
Schenectady County Community College coach Dayna Torino was named the Region III Division III women’s basketball Coach of the Year Monday.

Two Hudson Valley Community College players made their respective all-star teams. Raeshell Frasier (Schenectady) and Jose Reyes (Shenendehowa) were fi rst-team selections.
Frasier, who broke the HVCC single-season rebounding record with 353, led the region in rebounding (16.5) and was eighth in scoring (16.4 ppg).
Reyes led the region in assists per game (7.5), and was seventh in scoring (15.4) for the Vikings, who are the sixth seed for the regionals.
